Thank you for your comment. There are many destination wedding planners out there, that are very good at what they do. However, I do tend to agree with you, where possible, to use a local wedding planner, for a number of reasons; one being they already have relationships built with the local wedding industry vendors in their area, they can react faster with a last minute wedding emergencies and if there is something major going on on the same day as the wedding, they would know about it and have already planned for it or around it. That's very neat that Canadian Diabetes will pick up your donations. Salvation Army and local non-profits will do that in the US, but I've only gotten them to come out when I have at least a full carload full of donations.
